In a world where things are changing rapidly, where the fast pace of living has become hectic, and where it’s so easy to feel left behind, left out; then a sense of bewilderment creeps into life. And people might contemplate how their values are compromised wonder if society is teetering on the brink of collapse.
Although today as soon as you buy a new phone or a new computer it is outdated by the time you get it home. Things are changing so fast that there is a part of us that wants to stay in the same sweet safe place that brings comfort. Although God allows change as a part of nature, God remains the same, while allowing our transformation into his sweet solace, drawing us closer to experience Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever.
So, if anxiety rules your day, turn the tables on your stress, sing a praise song as if it is the best day of your life, and not the worst. Tell Jesus how much you love him, even if you feel quite uncertain during this changing season. Commit to choose joy in the midst of anxiety. Don’t be fooled into believing that the answers we yearn for are always easy to see. Justice tangled with self-interest can also plague awareness. Confusion among principality in our local and national security surely causes uncertainty that allow our thought to be clouded with misinterpretation, even false intention. The challenge may be for many is breaking through the distraction of clamor, exploited force and greed that keep them away from the love God offers.
But for those who seek truth, God of Hope is your ultimate resource! God is love because he created the world as an outpouring of his love. We praise God for the vast diversity of creation and for fulfilling the promise to bless and invite all to come to Christ. Jesus Christ is God’s love for the world, mercifully offering divine redemption with perfect humility and compassion. God did not accomplish this from a distance. In Jesus Christ, he rescued us from the inside, by his saving grace on the cross. The Spirit of God awakens us to the reality of God’s love for the world in Christ as we are transformed. This means to allow our faithfulness in Jesus’ teaching to live throughout our active life.
Therefore, quiet your fears, fulfill your call to serve God’s will, and to be strong and courageous by His Spirit. Be alert, but not alarmed. God’s blessings are powerfully expressed. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Anyone who knows and commits to the will of God knows the glory of Truth. Jesus is the light of the world! Be gratified in Hope of your daily thanksgiving prayers. Amen!
