Wednesday in the Word

And the prophet said, Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen King Jehoshaphat! This is what the LORD says:
Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army,
for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

It is always best to check with God before speaking on God’s behalf. Listen to God as God reminds us of his divine presence in the past and assures us of his presence in the future.

When Psalm 23:1 came to mind as I read my Bible, it struck me in a different way and on a deeper level than ever before. As we each go through difficult times of testing, our Faith has no choice but to grow.

God is active in this world even in the best of time and in the worst of time. God loves this world, and He calls for action. “All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, who are called according to God’s purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

“God comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves received from God.”
