Wednesday in the word.
LOVE HAS A HIGHER PURPOSE
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. …And now these three remain faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD
Although life is hard, often frustrating and sometimes ‘downright’ unbearable. During these times bad things happen, and that might cause one to wonder if tension between these inevitable truths will cease because on the one hand, bad things do happen, and awful things will happen.
REFLECTING THE LOVE OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER
As Father’s Day approaches, we prepare opur hearts to celebrate and challenge our earthly fathers to reflect the character of our Heavenly Father. This means being filled with compassion, strength, faithfulness, and love. Whether our earthly experience was good, painful or absent, we all can find wholeness and hope in the perfect love of God, our Heavenly Father.
INTIMACY IN GOD’S GRACE
Jesus spirit-filled energy encourages us to go deeper into intimacy with him. Divine intimacy is so intimate, so personal, no words can describe. God’s grace is intimacy in Christ and can only be offered by God’s grace. When God’s true intimacy is spirit-felt so filled with such energy that no one else can really understand the special bond that shared energy is completely personal and deeply penetrates the soul.
ESSENTIALS OF FAITH
What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? So, you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
