People often excuse their selfishness, pride or evil, by claiming their rights. I can do whatever I want because I’m not hurting anyone. But as believers, we should have a different attitude, one that enables us to lay aside our rights in order to serve God and others.
COME REST WITH THE LORD
Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest for a while.
INTERGENERATIONAL FAITH
So, Moses wrote this entire body of instruction in a book, and gave it to the priests, who carried the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, and the elders of Israel. The Moses gave the command: At the end of every seventh year, the Year of Release during the feast of the Festival of Shelters, you must read this Book of Instruction and learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully obey all the terms of these instructions.
LEST WE FORGET…TRUST IN THE LORD
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Allowing God to be your guide begins with a commitment to trust. God cannot lead you where you will not follow. Begin with the assertion that God knows you, me, everything and everybody, good, exceptional and unexceptional.
TRUSTING GOD’S DIRECTIONS
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight
